Texas Mutual partners with Foundation Communities to host bike ride event and field trip with local kids

This past April, Texas Mutual underwriters and underwriting support services team members came together to support our Austin neighbor, Foundation Communities. Foundation Communities is a local nonprofit providing affordable homes and free support services to families, individuals with disabilities and others in need. Together, the group built about two dozen bikes for kids at The Jordan at Mueller Learning Center.

The kids were thrilled to receive the bikes and couldn’t wait to hit the sidewalk. Together with Foundation Communities, we organized a field trip for the kids so they could ride their new bikes to our corporate office earlier this month. Texas Mutual employees rode their bikes alongside about 15 kids, grades K-10, as they made their way down the street to our offices, where they got a tour of the building, played games and enjoyed lunch and ice cream.
